The Tirfor T500 Series is a range of portable manual machines designed for lifting, pulling and tensioning operations across a wide range of industries. Operated by a telescopic lever and using a wire rope passed through the unit, the Tirfor offers unlimited rope length and consistent control in forward and reverse motion.

This series includes models such as T508D, T516D and T532D, each engineered with safety shear pins and heavy-duty control levers. Units feature high Working Load Limits (up to 3,200 daN), with strong performance in both lifting and tension applications. The robust design allows for operation in any position and over long distances.

Tirfor T500 units are commonly used in civil engineering, utilities, rail, and maintenance sectors. Their mechanical simplicity, field serviceability and independent operation make them ideal for use in remote locations or environments without access to power sources. Compatible wire ropes and spare safety shear pins are available for continued safety and performance.

Features:

  • Manual unit operated by reciprocating lever with unlimited rope length
  • Suitable for lifting, pulling, lowering, and tensioning operations
  • Independent of external power sources — fully mechanical operation
  • Forward and reverse motion controlled by dual-direction jaws
  • Safety shear pin protects against overload and is easy to replace
  • T508D model: 800 daN W.L.L. using 8.4 mm Tractel brand wire rope
  • T516D model: 1,600 daN W.L.L. using 11.5 mm Tractel brand wire rope
  • T532D model: 3,200 daN W.L.L. using 16.3 mm Tractel brand wire rope
  • Portable design for flexible on-site applications in any orientation
  • Compliance with machine Directive 2006/42/CE and UKCA regulations
